Job Description
As a Swim Instructor at San Diego Swim School, you will be responsible for leading swimming programs and delivering customized individual and group lessons for children of all ages and skill levels. This position is perfect for students who have a strong love for swimming, exceptional communication abilities, and a genuine talent for motivating young swimmers while fostering a deep appreciation for water safety. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team at San Diego Swim School in San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all students
• Monitor and assess student progress, offering feedback and support as necessary
Requirements
• Experience working with students of varying ages and abilities, preferably in an educational or instructional setting
• Strong swimming proficiency and knowledge of diverse swim strokes and techniques
• Comprehensive background in water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and creative teaching abilities
• Effective behavior management skills, with the capability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Prior experience in childcare or sports coaching is advantageous, showcasing an understanding of working with children in a structured setting
• A genuine love and enthusiasm for swimming and children.
